lyrics
When terror is your life
You push your heart aside
You leave the man behind
So the animal inside you can survive
And those still left alive;
Sailors grown gaunt and lean
So bright, their murd'rous eyes
Every day every night always watching me
3 hungry years
Frozen with our fears
Locked in the ice
No course to steer
So it went
Our slow descent
Chaos crept in
With cruel dissent
When terror is your life
You push your heart aside
You leave the man behind
So the animal inside you can survive
And those still left alive;
Sailors grown gaunt and lean
So bright, their murd'rous eyes
Every day every night always watching me
So it went
Our dark descent
Chaos crushing
With malicious intent
The dead lament
Demons hell sent
Swords in our backs
Let the blood ferment
Demons hell sent
Smell the blood ferment
When terror is your life
You push your heart aside
You leave the man behind
So the animal inside you can survive
This album being played over the PA system at the museum where Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is housed is what caused the faces of the clocks in the painting to melt. meeko
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive
I love this particular niche of modern black metal. Crisp, biting production and clear, cutting riffs. Imperialist are among the best there is right now. Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass)
